Energy-Efficiency
When it comes to enhancing the energy efficiency of a space, shades are a valuable ally. Not only do they provide style and privacy, they can play a significant role in regulating indoor temperatures and reducing energy consumption. The Elements Shade Collection includes cellular, roller, twinlight shades, and decorative textile film each designed to provide insulation and reduce energy consumption.
Another option is our decorative textile film, a self-adhesive window film that allows you to keep your view without compromising privacy. When installed the film can have a 3°C cooling effect during the summer and protect your space from UV exposure. Our decorative window film is the ideal solution for hard to cover, specialty shaped windows.

How do shades improve energy efficiency?
Shades can act as a barrier between your space and the outside elements, helping block heat during the warm summer months and prevent heat loss during the cold winter months. By installing shades you can reduce the need for air conditioning and heating.Choosing the Right Shades for Energy Efficiency
Many factors come into play when selecting shades for energy efficiency, it is important to consider factors like material, color, and design. Opting for our Cellular Shades can provide insulation thanks to the 3/4" D-cell construction. The Department of Energy states in the winter tightly installed cellular shades can reduce heat loss through windows by 40% or more and in the summer they can reduce heat by up to 60%(1). Selecting a light color fabric can also help reflect sunlight and reduce heat.Another option is our decorative textile film, a self-adhesive window film that allows you to keep your view without compromising privacy. Product Care Tips
Maintain the beauty and functionality of your window treatments through proper cleaning and care. Our product cleaning tips will help you keep them clean and beautiful without damaging their material. By cleaning and caring for your shades on a regular basis you will be able to enjoy them longer and reduce the amount of dirt and dust in your space. Please note improper cleaning may void your warranty.
If your decorative film does become stained we first ask that you remove excess liquids using an absorbent cloth and/or scrape away hardened particles. Remove grease free stains using a lukewarm microfiber cloth. To remove grease stains use a solvent-free stain remover. We recommend testing any cleaning products on a piece of the film before use. When cleaning avoid excessive pressure or abrasive force. These recommendations are for guidance only and cannot guarantee complete stain removal.
Cellular Shades

Roller shade fabrics may be lightly dusted with a feather duster or using a brush attachment on a vacuum. Some fabrics may be cleaned using a mild detergent and a damp cloth. Allow fabric to air dry completely before raising the shade.Twinlight Shades
